Discharge wave at Hydrogenious: 25 percent of the employees have to go!

Erlangen, Deutschland - In a dramatic step, the Erlangen company Hydrogenious Lohc Technologies dismissed. The workforce of around 120 employees currently meets this wave of discharge, since around 50 jobs are lost. The measure comes just a few months after a funding commitment of 72.5 million euros from Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck, who was present in August 2024 on a solemn event. At that time, the money should be used to build a system to hand over green hydrogen, which should deliver up to 1800 tons of hydrogen annually from 2028.

The reasons for this radical decision are both geopolitical and economic nature. The hydrogen economy is currently facing enormous challenges, including rising prices for renewable energies and a lack of regulatory framework, which significantly hinder the market stroke.
