Future projects in the Pielachtal: Communities rely on diversity and progress
In the Pielachtal, the municipalities face major challenges and innovative projects for 2025. In Kirchberg, the damage to the devastating flood from September 2023 of around one million euros must be fixed. The institutions concerned, such as kindergarten, Kirchberghalle and outdoor pool, are to be repaired as quickly as possible, as Bernhard Zöchbauer, the community manager, explains. At the same time, the municipality plans to open up new water sources in the SOIS district to secure the water supply for the future. The start of the construction work will be sought for 2025 after the water law permit is obtained, reports meindezirk.at .
The Internet will also be expanded in Ober-Grafendorf: cable plus enables fast internet for around 280 households and companies by autumn 2025. Mayor Rainer Handlfinger emphasizes the importance of this project for the digital connection in times of home office and homeschooling. In Weinburg, on the other hand, the revitalization of the town center is on the agenda, whereby a renaturation project in cooperation with Ober-Grafendorf is supposed to contribute to sustainable development. Another highlight is the planned opening of a day care facility for toddlers in March 2025 to specifically support families.
