According to reports from Vol.at, the tourist drove on Tuesday evening with his rented motorcycle on the street from Valparai to Pollachi when he met the resting animal. While many other road users waited patiently so as not to provoke the elephants, S. decided to overtake the animal and ignored the warnings of the locals. This led to a brutal attack.
