Christmas magic in Osterholz: students bake delicious cookies!

In the show kitchen of the Meyerhoff furniture store in Osterholz-Scharmbeck, a festive back event was held on November 13, 2024. Under the direction of teacher Dörte Horstmann, students from the vocational schools (BBS) from the production class showed their skills. The young bakers, who are between the ages of 15 and 18 and from different cultures such as Syria, Serbia, Ukraine and Zimbabwe, baked typically Christmas cookies and enthused the numerous customers who were also invited to try it, according to the Anzeiger-Verlag .

The students had an extensive range of delicacies to offer, including Linz cookies, snowflakes, vanilla biscuits and the popular dragon biscuits. The success of the campaign is not only thanks to the quality of the baked goods, which were made from 100% natural ingredients, but also the practical training of the students. Dörte Horstmann describes the show kitchen as a “extra -curricular place of learning”, which enables students to apply their knowledge in a real environment and thereby gain valuable experience.
