Young people help homeless: 700 euros for warm meals collected!
Four students from the Gerhard Hilgendorf School in Stockelsdorf, in the Ostholstein district, collected over 700 euros for homeless people in Lübeck with a lot of commitment. The donations were made to Café W.U.T. presented that acts as a meeting place for the needy. The head of the café, Oliver Grell, showed himself stirred at the handover and emphasized that the money collected is used for purchases to issue free meals.
The Café W.U.T. offers warm meals for homeless people and is a meeting point for people of all ages. The students, well -known Lana, Ella, Nasmir and Jette, dealt intensively on the subject of homelessness as part of a school project. To generate the donations, they organized two cake bazaars in which each of them baked cakes. In addition, two of the students worked for a day in Café W.U.T.
commitment and consciousness
The class teacher Claudia Carstens proudly commented on the commitment of her students. With their use, they want to ensure that more people pay attention to the homeless in Lübeck and reduce prejudices. The students plan to present the results of their project in the class and have learned to deal with the topic of homelessness more respectfully.

Reasons for auxiliary needs can be, for example, workplace or apartment loss, illnesses or age-related restrictions. There are currently 139 emergency accommodations and 32 emergency places available in Lübeck.
