New business director in St. Paul Abbey: Opportunities for the future!
In the Benedictine Abbey St. Paul in the Lavanttal, a new economic management will take over the rudder from May 2025. The 37-year-old Johann Steiner was entrusted with this responsible task by Abbot President Johannes Perkmann and donation administrator Abbot Gerhard Hafner. Steiner succeeds Bernhart Binder, who is retired after 26 years and was recognized for his outstanding performance, as Kap . As a trained agricultural economist and real estate agent, he brings extensive experience, including from his previous work as managing director of Stia Immo GmbH in Admont.
Steiner, who is married and has two children, will deal with sustainable developing the building properties and buildings, especially with regard to the new Koralbahn. It will be his main task to secure financial income for the St. Paul Abbey through sustainable real estate management. The monastery, which was founded in 1091, looks after four own parishes and runs a collegiate high school with over 600 students. Around 45 employees are employed in various penal companies such as agriculture and forestry as well as in the well -known collegiate museum.
Göttweig Abbey in focus
The Benedictine Abbey Göttweig, which is located in the picturesque Wachau, has an important role in the regional church. It looks after 28 incorporated parishes, four of them in the Archdiocese of Vienna. The history of the pen goes back to the 11th century, and it is known for the numerous cultural and historical treasures that are kept there.
