Waidhofen celebrates 20 years of night watchman: Experience history alive!

In Waidhofen an der Ybbs, an important conference of the Presidium of the Presidium of the Public Service Union (Göd) took place in the Historical Castle on Eisenstrasse. The event not only offered the around 50 participants the opportunity to have important technical discussions, but also to explore the charming cityscape of Waidhofen. Mayor Werner Krammer showed the historic walls of Rothschild Castle and emphasized the city's advantages as an excellent venue. "Short distances and modern ambience create the best conditions for productive meetings," says Krammer in official reception.

In parallel to this conference, the city of Waidhofen celebrated another anniversary: ​​the night watchman of the city, which have been keeping the traditions and stories alive for two decades, carried out a special city tour. Under the direction of all eleven members of the Waidhofner Nachtwächtergilde, the participants experienced an exciting journey through the city's history. Krammer, who also praised the great commitment of the night watchmen after this tour, said: "Your special skills and knowledge not only gives visitors an insight into our history, but also creates a unique feeling for the connection between past and the present." The night watchmen are one of the largest groups of their kind in Austria, always ready to present the historic inheritance of Waidhofen.
