Wien, Österreich - The Spanish Hoffreitschule presented an impressive balance for 2024 on the occasion of its 460th anniversary. Managing Director Dr. Alfred Hudler reported over 400,000 visitors, including 356,000 in Vienna and 45,000 at the Lipizzaner Stud Piber. The total proceeds of 12.9 million euros show the economic stability of the respected institution, which is not only a figurehead for Austria, but is also recognized internationally. Special highlights of the past season were the UK tour with a royal audience and an increase in sales in the Merchandise area that crossed the million limit.

As part of a press conference, Hudler and supervisor Marcus Nowotny informed about innovative measures to improve animal welfare, including cooperation with a chiropractor for the 400 Lipizzans. In the future, the stable castle will be equipped with the latest technology, including powerful ventilation and disk systems to optimize the stable climate during the summer months. In view of the increasing inflation and energy costs, the Riding School also plans a comprehensive modernization of its visitor center in Vienna. The realignment of the tourism offer should also help to preserve the institution for future generations, as Hudler emphasized.For the anniversary celebrations 2025, several events, including a gala on May 4, are already being planned.
