Guitar festival 2024: Dale Kavanagh opens with masterpieces!

Zitadelle Spandau, 13581 Berlin, Deutschland - The Spandau guitar festival 2024 is just around the corner! From November 15th to 17th, the Gothic hall of the Spandau citadel will become the scene of a musical spectacle that will captivate the guitar lover. The celebrated artist Dale Kavanagh will start on Friday, November 15th at 8:00 p.m. The guitarist and composer from Halifax (Canada) is considered one of the best of her guild and will present works by greats like Carlo Domeniconi, Niccolo Paganini and Heitor Villa-Lobos with her opening concert. An unforgettable evening is guaranteed!

But that's just the beginning! On Saturday, November 16 at 7:30 p.m., visitors can expect a very special highlight: "Classic guitar meets Dire Straits". The talented Berlin guitarist Katrin Endrikat and the Etna Guitar Duo open the evening with classic guitar music, followed by Arne Jansen and Stephan Braun, who bring the unforgettable hits of the Dire Straits to life in an intimate setting with guitar and cello. Jansen, a multiple Echo-Jazz winner, brings his years of experience into performance and promises a musical experience of the extra class.

Master course and free admission

The culmination of the festival is the concert of the master's course on Sunday, November 17th at 7:00 p.m. After intensive rehearsals with Dale Kavanagh, the students present their results in a joint concert. Entry to this special event is free! For the two main concerts, the tickets each cost € 20 (reduced € 16) and can be conveniently acquired online or at the box office.
