30 years after the Roma attack: remind and work up!

On February 8, 2025, an important exhibition was opened, which is reminiscent of the devastating events of the 1995 pipe bombattary in Oberwart, in which four Roma lost their lives. Governor Hans Peter Doskozil (SPÖ) emphasized the importance of this processing and the critical examination of history, both in culture and in politics. Minister Leonore Gewessler (Greens) also took part in the opening of the multimedia exhibition, which was organized by various organizations, including the Minories and the Vienna Volkshedule initiative, in cooperation with the Roma Volkshochschule Burgenland. The exhibition entitled "Bombs against Minorities" shows video interviews by contemporary witnesses and highlights the development of right-wing extremism.
