Crypto fraud in Ludwigshafen: 51-year-old loses 150,000 euros!
In Ludwigshafen, a 51-year-old man has suffered a shocking loss of 150,000 euros through a perfidious WhatsApp fraud stitch! The stitch, which is reminiscent of the latest frauds, is an unprecedented crypto scam that alerted the police. In August, the victim received a message from an unknown number in which the sender spoke as a financial expert and lured with tempting offers for investments in cryptocurrencies.
The man, blinded by the high promises of profit, willingly invested his money in a supposedly promising trading platform. But when he tried to withdraw his savings, he was confronted with the cold reality: his account was closed! The shock was great, and the bitter knowledge of being cheated was not long in coming. Immediately he filed a complaint with the police, who has now started the investigation.
important warnings from the police
The police urgently provide information to protect other fraud cases:
- suspicious of the unrealistically high promise of profits with minimal use.
- Serious providers do not contact your customers directly for online trading offers.
- thoroughly inform on trading platforms before registering.
- no sensitive data such as online banking access data.
The police encourage everyone who believes that they have become victims of a fraud to file a complaint as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, such unscrupulous tricks are not isolated cases - the darkness of the Internet has many dangers!
