Weapon warehouse discovered: Six arrested rockers endanger Vienna!
In a explosive conflict in Vienna-Alsergrund on Monday evening there was a police operation when a 68-year-old driver presumably held a firearm out of his window. The verbal discussion that started during the main traffic in Hörlgasse ended with a shock: the 41-year-old opponent took the escape and alerted the police. When the officials arrived, the younger man was the only one on site, while the older driver was later found at his home address. This incident was followed by a temporary ban on weapons for the 68-year-old and the complaint for dangerous threats against both drivers, as police spokeswoman Julia Schick reported.
Great treasure of weapons on "right rockers" discovered
At the same time, the security authorities in Öbert and Lower Austria covered a terrifying arsenal. In 13 house searches on June 26, around 70 long weapons, pistols, machine guns and over 10,000 rounds of ammunition were seized. The value of the weapons found is around 1.5 million euros. Six people were arrested, including an arms dealer, and they are now in custody. The General Director of Public Security, Franz Ruf, expressed that this mission was a "sustainable blow against organized rocker crime", after months of investigation against the right -wing motorcycle group "Bandidos". It was also found that the weapons were professionally exhibited in an illegal weapon warehouse in a farm.
Since December 2022, the “Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs” have been in the focus of the authorities due to a desired expansion plan in Austria, which has led to several violent incidents in the past. In addition to weapons, drugs such as cocaine and cannabis were also found, which indicates a potential threat to public security. Overall, the investigation has not yet been completed, the security authorities continue their efforts in order to contain the danger from right -wing extremist groups and their violent activities, said Interior Minister Gerhard Karner.
This dramatic incident and the gun finds impressively show the alarming reality of violence and crime in Austria and the consequences that can result from such criminal machinations, both for the perpetrators and for potential victims.
