Right -wing extremists go beyond all borders - investigators raise the alarm!

In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the number of right-wing extremists has recorded an alarming increase. A total of 1,879 offenses were counted by the end of November 2024. This means an increase of 748 cases, which corresponds to an increase of around 66 percent compared to 2023 when 1,131 offenses were registered. In the German average, the number of right -wing extremists rose by 17 percent by November 2024, as NDR reported.

The most common crimes in this area are propaganda and sedition. The number of right -wing violent offenses remained almost constant with 79 in 2023 and 81 in 2022. The Lobbi advice center also recorded 89 right attacks in the first half of 2024. Interior Minister Christian Pegel (SPD) was concerned about the developments and pointed out the diverse manifestations of right -wing extremism, which range from propagandaeles to weapon offenses.

The right -wing extremists have reached a new high in Germany in 2024. By November 30, 33,963 offenses in the area of "politically motivated crime - right" were registered nationwide. This corresponds to an increase of at least 17.34 percent compared to the previous year, as reported. The final figures are expected to be published in May 2025 by the Federal Criminal Police Office, whereby the number could increase due to December criminal offenses and late late reports.

In 2023, the Federal Criminal Police Office counted a total of 28,945 legal motivated political crimes. Of the 33,963 crimes registered in 2024, 1,136 were on violent offenses. The proportion of propagandaelics made up the majority of 21,311, followed by 5,097 incitements and 1,942 property damage. The left-wing member of the Bundestag Martina Renner expressed concern about the continuously increasing figures and demanded driven measures to combat this development. In addition, an increase in young violent offenders can be determined, while the majority of violent offenders are adults.
