Wilder act of destruction: 45-year-old damages police vehicles in Recklinghausen
In a spectacular campaign at Recklinghausen Central Station, a 45-year-old man who is presumably responsible for the destruction of several officials from the federal police was arrested. The incidents occurred on Sunday morning, October 13th, as federal police officers at around 4:20 a.m., loud bright noises were heard and looked out of the window.
The suspect, a Polish citizen, had been observed in the process of being troubled by the exterior mirrors of a company vehicle. Suddenly the cover of a left exterior mirror fell to the ground, and the man fled towards the main train station. A short time later, the officials put him near a taxi rank, although he behaved extremely aggressively towards them. Because of its behavior, it was necessary to request support from the NRW police.
identity assessment and investigation
After the federal police confronted the man, he first denied the act and explained that the police would not be able to prove the destruction of the vehicles anyway. But his identity turned out to be clear in the premises of the federal police. There was already an arrest warrant from the Bochum public prosecutor's office due to property damage against the 45-year-old because the authority was looking for his whereabouts.
The investigation showed that he damaged the rear windows of the three company vehicles and the left exterior mirrors. In addition, two stones were ensured that were found in two of the vehicles. The damage to the company vehicles was photographed, which facilitates evidence.
After completing the police measures, the officials were given the instruction of pronouncing the suspect a dismissal for the Recklinghausen main station. Now the accused has to answer not only because of the destruction of important work equipment, but also for property damage, a criminal offense that is taken seriously in Germany.
The events in Recklinghausen throw a light on the difficulties with which the security authorities are confronted, and at the same time shed light on the aggressiveness, which sometimes occurs in such offenses. In a legal framework, the next steps against the perpetrator are now set, while the federal police have to rate the damage to their vehicles.
