Münster, Deutschland - Münster (ots) - In an exciting nightly campaign, the police officers from Münster together made the streets and motorways unsafe! From Tuesday to Wednesday, between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m., massive traffic control was carried out, which not only tested different vehicles, but also many people. The clear goal? Fight property crime and contain the main causes for accidents, with a particularly sharp focus on bicycles!

In impressive eight hours, the officers circulated through the city and over the highways, where they checked 83 vehicles and 96 people in Münster as well as 56 vehicles and 65 people on the highway. The result of this enforcement campaign was clear: 30 violations were uncovered and mercilessly punished! Seven criminal complaints were found under the consequences, and three drivers had to do without their mobile pedestal, since they could not show any valid driving license.

The scandalous findings

A particularly sensational moment took place at the main train station, where a cyclist got into the catch of the police. The excitement was great when it came out that the bike came from a theft! In addition, 16 warning funds were levied, two payment requests were issued and four administrative offenses against the driver and cyclists were initiated. The police even set up the identity of a person who obviously had to be reported - all of this speaks for the determination of the law enforcement officers to ensure security in Münster! This nightly inspection has impressively showed that the police do not give up when it comes to fighting crimes in the city.
