In the past few days, two incidents have occurred in the region around Eltville on the Rhine that attracted the attention of the police. The first incident concerns property damage that occurred on the grounds of a clinic in Kloster-Eberbach-Straße. Several cars were smeared with washable color between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024. In particular, a black Audi A4 bonnet suffered damage of several hundred euros.

The police believe that it was probably a person who is responsible for the color smearing. Unfortunately, the perpetrator could no longer be found when recording. The second incident occurred only a day later, on the night of Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 01:32 a.m., on the Landesstraße 3027 between Niedernhausen and Wiesbaden. A VW Golf overturned here, but the occupants, an 18-year-old driver from Wiesbaden and his passenger, were very lucky. Despite the rollover, both remained unharmed and were able to free themselves from the badly damaged vehicle.

After initial investigations, the car from Niedernhausen towards Wiesbaden was on the road when the driver got off the road for unexplained reasons and the vehicle overturned. The VW Golf stayed on the roof and was no longer ready to drive, so that the car had to be towed afterwards. Here, too, the damage amounts to several thousand euros.

These two incidents have employed the police in the region and once again illustrate how important the vigilance of the citizens is. In particular, information from the population can be decisive. While luckily nobody was harmed in the car accident, the property damage must be informed in order to prevent possible future incidents.
