Peat fire in Lauterbach-Wallenrod: fire brigade in action, no injuries!
Reuterser Straße, 36341 Lauterbach, Deutschland - Bravo, Lauterbach! On Monday morning, October 28th, a surprising fire broke out in a earthworks on Reuterser Strasse in the Wallenrod district! Someone immediately informed the rescue control center at 5:00 a.m., and the fire brigade and an ambulance were quickly called for dramatic use. On their arrival, the emergency services discovered that stored peat in a driving silo - apparently due to mysterious fermentation processes - had risen in flames. What a scenario!
Fire brigade use and technology in use
The fire brigade bravely fought the flames and immediately started the extinguishing work. But this was not an ordinary fire! In order to control the situation, the stored peat had to be brought apart with technical equipment. It was finally done and the best thing about it? There were no injuries!
The damage is still not to be neglected! The property damage is estimated at around 4,000 euros, and luckily there was no building damage. This was an impressive commitment of the volunteer rescuers, who reacted in a matter of seconds to prevent worse things. The citizens of Lauterbach can be proud of their fire brigade!
