Fatal accident in Griesheim: 71-year-old dies at Crash with truck

A tragic traffic accident shakes Griesheim! In early Tuesday morning, November 12th, there was a serious collision between a truck and a car that a 71-year-old driver fell victim to. At 4.45 a.m., concerned witnesses and reported the dramatic incident at the busy intersection between Westring and Bundesstraße 26.

The younger driver, a 25-year-old man, was on the west ring with his truck and wanted to cross the intersection. The 71-year-old, who came from Wolfskehlen, was on the main road when there was a catastrophic collision. The huge truck tipped on the side as if through a miracle, but despite the rapid attempts at resuscitation by the emergency helpers, the life of the older man could not be saved. He died on site under tragic circumstances.

Investigations in the course

The exact cause of the accident has so far been unclear and is currently being examined by the police. In this context, the Darmstadt public prosecutor has already consulted an expert to clarify. During the accident recording and the subsequent rescue work, the intersection remains a place of horror and grief, while the officials do everything they can to bring light into the darkness of the circumstances.
