A terrible accident shakes Griesheim! On the early Wednesday morning, November 12th, at 04:40 a.m. there was a tragedy on federal road 26 when a 71-year-old car driver was fatally injured in a collision with a truck. The man was on the way from Wolfskehlen towards Griesheim when the disaster happened. Details are still unclear because the exact reason for the collision is unknown. However, a medical cause was not excluded!

Great crashed it in the intersection! The car driver died at the scene of the accident, while the 52-year-old truck driver was taken to a nearby hospital for medical examination. The damage is enormous: two light signal systems and a light mast have been significantly damaged in the impact, the total damage is estimated on shocking 150,000 euros!

public prosecutor intervened!

The investigation is already in full swing! At the order of the public prosecutor, an expert was consulted to examine the course of the accident. The intersection had to remain closed until 9:50 a.m., which led to considerable delays in public transport. Witnesses who can contribute to the accident are urgently asked to report to the Pfungstadt police station on 06157 / 9509-0. A tragic morning that put the city into a shock!
