A dramatic commitment of the federal police on the Swiss border caused excitement on Wednesday evening! Three arrest warrants were carried out within a very short time. The shattering knowledge? The sought -after had considerable fines in the account - and could finally pay them!
The first sought-after German, a 40-year-old German, was taken up at the Border crossing Weil am Rhein-Otterbach at around 8:00 p.m. He had been sentenced to a fine of 4,577 euros for tax evasion - but he had never paid! With an obviously light heart he clarified the matter and was allowed to continue his trip to Switzerland.
arrest warrants justified
Two hours later the next shock - this time at the Lörrach border crossing - came. A vehicle noticed when entering, and the occupants-a 28-year-old Czech and a 43-year-old Slovak-had also not paid their debts to the judiciary. They had been sentenced to fines for violations of the brand law, but they had not taken into account the punishments or the impending imprisonment. The public prosecutor had immediately issued arrest warrants!
But there was also a way out here: the Slovake was able to pay 3,640 euros happily, and its Czech companion also increased the sum by 3,827 euros to avoid the ugly stay. A stroke of luck for the two men, who were able to avert several months of prison!
