on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 5:43 a.m., there was a spectacular accident between a police patrol car and tram line 310 in Witten! The patrol car was stationed in the area of Crengeldanzstraße and Jahnstrasse and was extremely unhappy on the rails. The officers were currently in the process of controlling a person outside the vehicle than the danger approached.
At that moment the tram came with about 15 passengers towards Witten-Heven-Dorf and was no longer able to brake in time. The collision was violent: the train collided with the patrol car and jumped out of the rails!
