Police Wörth raises the alarm: traffic offenders in Erlenbach and Jockgrim!
On October 4, 2024, the police officers of the Wörth service conducted comprehensive traffic controls. These measures aimed to increase traffic safety and uncover violations of the rules. The controls took place at several locations in the area of responsibility of the police, whereby the area around Erlenbach was targeted.
At a check at the junction of the Kandel-Nord junction to the L542 state road, five drivers were warned who had violated a stop sign set up there. Such traffic violations are not only a question of order, but also a question of security. Stop signs are crucial to avoid accidents on strongly frequented crossings.
speed overruns on Hatzenbühler Straße
The police also set speed measurements on Hatzenbühler Strasse in Jockgrim. A strict top speed of 30 km/h applies here to ensure safety for pedestrians and other road users. However, the measurements showed that many drivers did not maintain this speed: a total of 13 speed violations were recorded. The highest speed registered during these measurements was 48 km/h.
These types of traffic controls are important to raise awareness of traffic rules and to sensitize the drivers. During today's checks, not only rule breakers could be identified, but also the general traffic relationships in the area were monitored. Such measures contribute to improving the safety in road traffic and eliminating potential sources of danger at an early stage.
