Police beats drug ring in Kerpen: 8 kilos of drugs secured

Kerpen - a drug deal with high operations

in Kerpen-Buir recently came to a significant police operation that draws attention to a suspected drug trade network. After intensive investigations by the criminal officers of the Rhein-Erft-Kreis police, four men aged 23 to 30 are suspected of acting actively in drug sales. The officials became aware of the perpetrators after they received valuable information from witness information and citizens' talks.

The searches took place on Monday, October 7th, in the apartments of two of the suspects. In these missions, considerable amounts of drugs were ensured: the officials threw around four thousand ecstasy tablets, almost seven kilograms of marijuana and around one and a half kilogram of synthetic drugs into the balance.

Investigations and arrests

The yield was not only quantitatively remarkable, but also included equipment for the production of amphetamines. This discovery illustrates the scope and danger of the activities that took place in the region. The two apartment owners, mainly the 30-year-old, were temporarily arrested and now have to answer to a judge.

The police quickly reacted to the information obtained and finally received a judicial decision that enabled the search for the apartments. While the investigation by the criminal commissioner 13 continues, it remains to be seen which further details will come to light. The arrests are a significant step in the fight against drug trafficking on site, which not only endangers the security of the citizens, but also public life as a whole.

The present incident encourages the police in Kerpen to continue to actively act against drug trafficking. Therefore, residents and citizens are potentially asked to report suspicious activities in order to create a safe environment together
