Police focus: traffic controls reveal serious violations in Münster!
On Tuesday, October 15, the police in Münster carried out targeted traffic controls to increase the safety in road traffic. The Albersloher Weg and Bröderichweg in particular were the focus of the review. This type of controls is part of a regular measure to ensure that all road users adhere to the applicable regulations.
During the controls on the Albersloher, which took place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., the officers noticed a 40-year-old driver of a BMW. It turned out that a fake TÜV badge was attached to his car, which meant that the vehicle had no valid main inspection. To make matters worse, it turned out that the driver had no valid driving license. Criminal proceedings for forgery of documents and driving without driving license are now being initiated against him.
Vehicle controls on Bröderichweg
The situation on Bröderichweg was also revealing. Here the officials noticed a Peugeot who was traveling without insurance protection. The 28-year-old driver and the owner of the vehicle must expect a criminal complaint about the violation of the compulsory insurance law. This illustrates how important it is that vehicles are sufficiently insured to be secured in the event of an accident.
In addition, a Mercedes-Benz was targeted, whose taillights were glued over with a black film. This measure can significantly impair the visibility of the brake lights and thus lead to an increased risk of accidents. Here, too, the 22-year-old driver and the owner of the car await administrative offenses because the operating license has gone out due to the modification.
In the course of the entire control, a total of five administrative offenses regarding cell phone use were punished while driving. This shows that distraction is a widespread danger in road traffic. In addition, a driver who drove too quickly on the Albersloher Weg at 13 km/h, as well as a cyclist who was on the wrong side. Both had to pay for the warning of 50 and 20 euros.
These controls are a clear signal to all road users: the police take their task seriously and will continue to work to ensure security on the streets. These measures are not only preventive, but also serve to identify potential sources of danger at an early stage.
