Homelessly brutally attacked: 17-year-old in custody!

A brutal attack shaken! Last January, a homeless 61-year-old, who stayed on the site of a supermarket, was suddenly attacked by three unknown young men. The rackets hit and entered the vulnerable man and left him with serious injuries! The consequences were devastating: the homeless person had to be treated in the hospital for several months before it could finally be released.

Now there is finally progress in this shocking case! Thanks to a public search and a phantom image, the murder commission was able to identify three young Esseners with a German passport: two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old who is considered the main aggressor. This 17-year-old was arrested at the end of October and is now in custody on suspicion of attempted murder. The investigators searched the apartments of the two other suspects and confiscated their mobile phones.

Investigations continue

The exact background of the attack remains unclear for the time being, because the investigation is still in progress. The police in Essen would like to thank all attentive citizens who contributed to the identification of the perpetrators. An urgent call also goes to the population: Please delete the widespread phantom image to avoid confusion. The severity of the crime and the subsequent quick investigation show that the police do everything in their power in order to clarify the case of brutal violence against a citizen in need of protection.
