New leadership duo at the police commissioner Buxtehude: Hennig takes over!

The police commissioner Buxtehude shaked a significant change of management! On November 1, 2023, Robert Schlich's era came to an end after 11 years as head of the operational and patrol service. The first police chief commissioner was retired when the age limit was reached. He received his official dismissal certificate from the hands of inspection manager Jan Kurzer, a moment that reflects the stressful responsibility and the challenges of recent years.

Schlicke's successor is the 48-year-old police chief commissioner Wiebke Hennig, who previously held the management of the police commissioner Seevetal in Maschen. With fresh wind and great anticipation, she now takes over the tax of the approx. 40-person team- the operational and patrol service ensures order around the clock! They are not only responsible for patrol trips, but also for the quick reaction to accidents, administrative offenses and other crimes in Buxtehude and the surrounding area.

The committed Wiebke Hennig has extensive experience that she has gained in various functions within the Lüneburg police department. She describes this new challenge as follows: "I am very much looking forward to the task in the new team for me. I take on a great team from Robert Schlecht and I am looking forward to getting to know Buxtehude and the district of Stade better." Their takeover marks a fresh start and the mutual trust between the new leadership and the civil servants who are there for the safety of the citizens day and night.

The Buxtehuder Police Commissioner is conducted in the new constellation of three strong personalities: Mailin Bartels as head of the office, Wiebke Hennig as the new head of the operational and patrol service and Axel Klie as head of the criminal investigation service.
