On Thursday, November 7th, 2024, the Donauwörth traffic police and the riot police set a strong sign of traffic safety! In Donauwörth and on the B16 near Tapfheim, two intensive checkpoints were set up, which resulted in a flash -like meeting of vehicles and law enforcement officers. With sophisticated measures, not only general security aspects, but also the prevention of traffic accidents were targeted.

But the record of the controls was alarming! Numerous violations caught the eye: from defective load securing to the cell phone at the wheel to speed violations and worn tires, which were more than a risk. The case of a small van was particularly shocking, whose tool cabinet with unsecured drawers made the traffic to be dangerous. The onward journey was stopped immediately, and the driver must now expect a fine of around 90 euros and a point in Flensburg! The entrepreneurs are also not out of the line of fire: the fleet manager is also held accountable.

In another dramatic situation, the officers found concrete chunks on a truck with an open loading area, which were not only transported unsafe but also dangerously - some even stood out beyond the loading area! The driver, a foreigner, had to pay a security deposit of around 90 euros in order to be allowed to continue. Safety is going on, and the emergency services made it clear: no vehicle remains in motion without proper fuse!

In addition to the enforcement of rules, the police were able to have valuable discussions with road users. The dangers in road traffic were informed and new awareness of the security situation was created. An urgent appeal that is only possible to drive safely together!
