In the early morning of October 5, 2024, around 7:30 a.m., a fire occurred on the upper floor of a child and youth welfare facility on the municipality of Apen. At this point, six children slept in the near area of the fire site. Thanks to the alarm through the fire alarm system, the children were able to leave the building independently and unharmed before the care power and its husbands could intervene.
As soon as the supervisor made the emergency call, the volunteer fire brigades of Apen and Godsholt set off. Through their quick action, they managed to prevent the fire from spreading further. The fire occurred in a hallway and in a heating room of the upper floor. However, the great -performance has potentially affected the entire upper floor.
