Two shocking bicycle accidents occurred on Wednesday in the tranquil community of Hövelhof and resulted in serious consequences! At 3:10 p.m., when a 52-year-old driver of an Opel Meriva was traveling on Kirchstrasse, she prepared to turn right to a parking lot. Suddenly it crashed! A 27-year-old cyclist who was behind the car could no longer brake in time and crashed into the rear of the car with full force. The young woman suffered injuries and immediately had to be taken to a Paderborn hospital. A dramatic moment that did not leave anyone untouched!

But that wasn't all! Just two hours later, at 5:05 p.m., another alarming incident occurred. A 77-year-old pedelec driver was on the bike path on Bielefelder Straße, but contrary to the regulations towards Stukenbrock. When crossing the confluence with Hövelrieger Straße, the senior was recorded by a fire brigade, whose 18-year-old driver was turning right. Due to the impact, the older man fell from the e-bike and was seriously injured. He also had to be taken to a Paderborn hospital for outpatient treatment. The concern for the two injured cyclists grew while the police examined the accidents.
