Cyclists injured in an accident in Altleiningen - witnesses wanted!

A serious traffic accident affected two road users in the afternoon of October 14, 2024 in Altleiningen in Rhineland-Palatinate. Around 4:50 p.m. there was the incident on the confluence with the main street/Schulstraße that led to a violation of a bicycle driver.

A 63-year-old driver intended to turn left into school road. He flashed properly and reduced his speed. The 47-year-old cyclist, who probably thought the car was a stopping road user, wanted to drive past it on the left. However, there was an unexpected collision: the driver continued his turning process, and when the vehicles were at the same height, the cyclist crashed into the car of the car.
