In the municipality of Bretzfeld, more precisely in Bitzfeld, an attempted break -in was reported to a residential building early Friday morning. Around 3:30 a.m., two previously unknown people went to the property of a family home in Merowingerstrasse. They first broke up the garden hut before they tried to violently penetrate the main house.

The perpetrators hit a slice in the basement of the house, which caused considerable noises. These noises aroused the homeowner, who immediately informed the police. Due to the enforced reaction of the police, a search was initiated, which even included a police helicopter. Unfortunately, however, this was unsuccessful.

The police have taken up the investigation and is now looking for witnesses who made suspicious observations near Merowingerstrasse in the night from Thursday to Friday.
