In a shocking night on Friday, November 8th, a bar in Bad Hersfelder Breitenstraße was the destination of unknown perpetrators. Between 0.30 a.m. and 11.40 a.m., the burglars broke through the back door, searched for the premises and stole cash as well as valuable shishas and tobacco poles, which appreciate the total value for a high four -digit euro amount. The property damage caused is estimated at around 8,000 euros, and the police are looking for information from the population on 06621/932-0.

But that's not all - the police also warn of a dangerous fraud! In a shocking incident on the same day, around 3:20 p.m., a senior citizen in Wehneberger Strasse was the victim of such a fraud. She received a call from a supposed bank employee who contacted her bank number and was wrong with false information about an allegedly chopped account. As a result, the senior unknowingly revealed several TANs to confirm her bank details. The result? Unauthorized debit in the amount of around 10,000 euros, the fraudsters moved from their account.

The police urgently indicate that these fraudsters are based on the fears of their victims in their approach. Trick fraud is diverse and often leaves great damage! When calling from unknown people, you should immediately become suspicious and never get involved on the phone about money matters.
