Dramatic accident on BAB 8: Two injuries and 8 km traffic jam!

Bundesautobahn 8, Sindelfingen, Deutschland - A traffic accident on Bundesautobahn 8 led to a considerable traffic jam and two injured people on Friday morning. At around 7:00 a.m. the incident occurred between the Stuttgart cross and the Sommerhofen parking lot when a 38-year-old truck driver did not notice an Opel driving on the right lane when changing the lane.

The collision with the truck turned the Opel around its own axis and was rejected on the left lane. Another accident occurred there: an 65-year-old Audi driver who was traveling properly could no longer dodge in time and also collided with the Opel. Ultimately, the vehicle was thrown back to the right and stopped on the hard shoulder.

injured and property damage

Both drivers, the 49-year-old Opel driver and the Audi driver, suffered minor injuries and were immediately taken to nearby hospitals. The vehicles were no longer ready to drive after the accident and had to be towed. The damage is estimated at around 37,000 euros. Fortunately, the truck driver was unharmed.

Back on the highway, the incident caused a complete blocking of the road towards Karlsruhe for about 20 minutes. This led to a backlog of around 8 kilometers in length, which affected the morning travel plans for many commuters. The clean -up work included cleaning the road and recovering the vehicles involved.

Such accidents on motorways illustrate the importance of attention and safety in road traffic, especially when changing the road. According to current reports, the police will continue to investigate the circumstances of this incident in order to determine the exact causes and, if necessary, take preventive measures.
