Federal police snap 29-year-old: Unpaid punishment leads to imprisonment!

A 29-year-old Romanian obviously hadn't paid the bill for his criminal machinations! He was caught by the federal police at Paderborn at the Paderborn main station, after not paying his fine from a conviction for thefts. The man was convicted by the Krefeld District Court in June 2022, but instead of paying, he continued his crooked business.

The federal police, who carried out a routine check on Thursday afternoon (November 14), quickly found it. An arrest warrant from the Krefeld public prosecutor made it clear that the 29-year-old was in chalk with an open sum of around 2400 euros. Despite all the efforts, he could not apply the necessary funds in the main train station. The consequence? A place that he certainly didn't want to visit - the Bielefeld correctional facility!

Replacement prison sentence set

The man was arrested and now has to pay for 118 days behind Swedish curtains. His negligence now brings him to jail for several months. Another proof that crimes do not pay off - especially if you are not ready to pay your punishment!
