On November 15, 15 small adventurers from the airport daycare center "Airport-Hopser" experienced an unforgettable day with the federal police at Munich Airport. As part of the nationwide reading day under the patronage of Federal Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser, the children were taken to the captivating world of police stories. Police director Hering gave the two -year -old to four -year -old an exciting reception and kidnapped them with stories about the tough “Theo”. The little ones listened to and immersed in the adventure of the brave police officer.
After the stories had inspired the imagination of the children, it was time to slip into the role of police officers themselves! Equipped with a special children's police ID, the excited visitors were able to experience the real policeman life up close. The visit of a real police car that shone in the bright blue lights caused an amazed eyes. The highlight was a personal meeting with a real service dog, which the children particularly enthusiastic. Hering proudly explained the operating unit and the tasks of the police.

"With the reading day we wanted to prepare the children an unforgettable day and take possible fears of contact with the police," said Hering. The concept was a complete success! Heart warming laugh and radiant faces met the federal police premises, while the campaign emerged from over 300 events nationwide. A day that not only enchanted the children, but also a piece of trust in the police!
