Federal Police reads: Reading day inspires over 800 children in northern Germany

Bad Bramstedt, Deutschland - on November 15, 2024 it will be exciting! The nationwide reading day is just around the corner, and the federal police officers are ready to bring exciting stories closer to the small listeners across Germany. Under the motto "read aloud" is not only read, but also a connection between cultures and communities is created. This is a wonderful opportunity for children in kindergarten and primary school age to discover reading and enjoy it.

The patronage for this special day has taken over the Federal Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser, who brings itself into the action and actively reads. Dr. Dieter Romann, President of the Federal Police Headquarters Potsdam, has given a passionate request to all federal police authorities to take part in this great action. The Federal Police Directorate in Bad Bramstedt will be creative in Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania on this day-a total of 30 police officers have invited over 800 children in 23 institutions!

The visits to schools and kindergartens are expected, where the police officers will read stories from books such as "Fabi and Max hunting the pirates" and "The feather collectors". These stories are not only entertaining, they always offer a happy ending! For the small listeners there is the opportunity to ask questions themselves and even get a place in a patrol car. In Neustadt in Holstein, even an emergency ship of the federal police is included in the reading party!

The exciting reading stations extend over a variety of places: In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, among them are Wieck, Warnemünde and Stralsund, while schools in Lübeck and Bad Bramstedt are visited in Schleswig-Holstein. Also in Bad Zwischenahn in Lower Saxony, children will have the opportunity to hear stories from the uniformed readers.
