Brand attack in Apolda: Young people lay fire and flee!
In the small town of Apolda, an incident occurred on October 12, 2024, which made the local community list. Around 8:35 p.m., unknown perpetrators set fire to several cardboard boxes in front of a residential and commercial building in Bernhard-Prague-Gasse. This happened in an entrance area of the shop, and an attentive person was on hand to act quickly.
The witness observed the action and was able to extinguish the flames quickly before they could do greater damage. Thanks to its intervention, the property damage remained limited to around 500 euros. Nevertheless, it is a dangerous situation that makes it clear how quickly there can be a serious incident.
The escape of the suspects
The police appeal to everyone to be attentive and report suspicious activities immediately. This type of crime can not only cause material damage, but also affect the feeling of security of the residents.
