Werdohl, Deutschland - enormous speed overruns and driving bans! On November 7, 2024, frightening speed measurements were carried out by radar in several cities in the Märkische Kreis, which alerted the local authorities.

First in Lüdenscheid, where the police targeted a total of 1164 vehicles between 7:50 and 12:35 p.m. The result? A shocking maximum of 76 km/h, measured on the L692, where only 30 km/h are allowed! The consequences were relentless: 17 administrative offenses, a ban on driving and at least 61 oral warnings were pronounced.

The next station was Meinerzhagen-Valbert, where 230 vehicles were checked between 2:30 p.m. and 4:40 p.m.. Here it flashed at a rapid 107 km/h, the permissible speed was 60 km/h! Again there were strict measures: 8 administrative offenses and another driving ban. Finally, the controls in Werdohl, between 5:10 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., rounded off the series. 500 vehicles were recorded here, with a highest value of 75 km/h and without imposed driving bans.

These frightening speed overruns show that the police not only show presence, but also take through! With the strict control, all road users should be asked to comply with the speed limits.
