Cars under fire: Unknowns collapse in Billigheim-Ingenheim!

night after night it is often only seconds that decide on the safety of vehicles. In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, more precisely on October 16, 2024, unknown perpetrators hit a car parked on Marktstrasse around 1:35 a.m. The unmistakable sound of breaking glass alerted attentive residents who immediately informed the police. Fortunately, the perpetrators could not complete their plans and possibly left valuable objects in the vehicle. Ultimately, the wallet that was located in the passenger seat remained unaffected.

It is assumed that the same group of perpetrators had previously stolen a car in Billigheim. This vehicle has already been left behind, slanted and inappropriate on the street near the crime scene. This raises questions about the motivation of the perpetrators and their approach to executing their crimes.

• Never stow any ID cards and vehicle papers in the car to avoid a greater risk, such as a burglary.
• Do not keep any valuables in the trunk and always remove your luggage for overnight stays.
• Register every theft of the police and do not change anything on the vehicle after a departure.
