Adventure night hike: dance group saved on A7 after bus breakdown!

A short adventure on Autobahn 7 that nobody will forget so quickly! On Saturday evening, at 10:40 p.m., a coach, filled with 30 children from the Mannheim dance club "Feuerio", was discovered on the hard shoulder because of a terrible engine damage. They were just back from the "Baunatal dance days" that they had gained triumphantly. But instead of celebrating at home, they suddenly sat without heating and with cold feet in the stumbling bus!

The Bad Hersfeld motorway police quickly came to rescue, but was only able to organize an unexpected replacement bus in two hours. With a clever idea, the plan was forged to "guide" the troop by small dancers on foot to the next town, Neuenstein/Aua. But before that, a police officer with a machete had to cut the overgrown service staircase to clear a way!

With an iron will and a lot of cohesion, the children, accompanied by their caregivers, set out on the arduous path. The path led over the cut stairs, through thorn hedges and finally to the next hostel, where the attentive staff was already prepared for their arrival at 00:15. The trophy obtained from the competition and of course had to go - no winning cup was left behind!

The travel force was warmly welcomed and enjoyed a well -deserved food while waiting for the long -awaited replacement bus. At 02:40 a.m. it was finally time: the children were able to take their journey home safely and comfortably with the new bus. A huge thank you not only deserves the fast -used motorway police, but also the committed hotel staff, which even supplied the little dancers beyond the end of the day. An event that goes into the stories of the dance club!
