Uniqa Group: record growth despite natural disasters - that's how it works!
The Uniqa Group achieved impressive growth results in 2024, despite considerable financial burdens from natural disasters. As the OTS , the group result rose by 14.9 percent to 348 million euros, while the result before taxes by 3.6 percent to 442 million added. The charged premiums also reached growth of 9.1 percent and amounted to 7.8 billion euros. It should be emphasized that premium revenue in damage and accident insurance increased by 11 percent and 10 percent in health insurance. In Central and Eastern Europe, the premiums even rose by 13.9 percent, especially through strong growth in Poland, which acts as a growth engine.

Despite the dramatic increase in payments for storm damage that reached 222 million euros in September alone, the combined ratio net remains at a solid level with 93.1 percent. The CEO of Uniqa, Andreas Brandstetter, explained the positive development with a strong sales performance in Austria and in the CEE markets. Overall, the UNIQA Group's insurance turnover rose by 9.4 percent and was 6.56 billion euros. In contrast, insurance expenses increased by 11.5 percent to 5.9 billion euros.
The Uniqa Group is established as one of the leading insurance companies in Austria and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Despite the uncertain geopolitical framework, the company expects an average increase of profit of 6 percent per year, based on efficient sales activities and adjustments due to inflation.
