Yannick Chabloz: Dream career ends tragically after serious injuries
The 25-year-old Swiss ski racing driver Yannick Chabloz has ended his career as a professional racer, as the Swiss Ski Association announced in a press release. Chabloz, who was previously considered a great talent, has struggled with the consequences of his injuries in the past two years after a severe fall in training before a World Cup departure in Bormio. The downhill specialist broke up several vertebrae and tried desperately to find back to old form. Despite initial progress, he ultimately had to recognize that he was unable to keep the required level in order to be successful in competitive sports. In an emotional posting on Instagram, Chabloz said goodbye to his companions and thanked for the support.
