Technology event attracts young people: Discover the professions of tomorrow!

The technological future of vehicle technology is enthusiastically celebrated from 11 to 14 February 2025 in the Westfield Donau Center. The Vienna Chamber of Commerce is organizing a unique apprentice event here that combines young talents with a clear interest in technical professions directly with potential training companies in the areas of mechatronics, vehicle technology and metal technology. The opening will take place on February 11th at 10 a.m., admission is free, and all those interested in technology, especially girls, are invited to explore the diverse opportunities in these promising professions. Not only the apprentice event attracts attention. On May 19, 2025, the new mobility campus was opened in Vienna-Donaustadt, a modern training center for vehicle technology with an area of ​​900 m². The state guild vehicle technology of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce has hereby created a central place where the entire range of training in vehicle technology is bundled. State guild master Georg Ringseis underlined the need for such a campus to counteract the shortage of skilled workers. The campus offers state-of-the-art workshops and training rooms that are designed for the special requirements of the industry, such as training courses in the Hochvolt area or §57a examinations, as is emphasized in the report by the Wirtschaftsbund.wien.

Both initiatives are part of a comprehensive program to promote the young skyscraper in Vienna and to increase the attractiveness of technical professions.
