Kleinheisler returns: New attempt for a big career!

Osijek, Kroatien - Laszlo Kleinheisler, the former Hungarian international, finds his way back to Croatia after a difficult year in the Greek league. The 28-year-old midfielder, who previously played for Panathinaikos Athens, could not convince there and was often only a spectator. Nevertheless, when he moved to the NK Osijek, where he previously played 131 games and scored 21 goals, he has high hopes. According to GAK, Kleinheisler has had an impressive career that led him through some of the strongest leagues in Europe, and he wants to attack again at the GAK after he was loaned to Hajduk Split last year. "We are incredibly happy to welcome such an internationally experienced player in our ranks," said sports director Dieter Elsneg, as mentioned in a report by ORF.

The return to Osijek

Kleinheisler had previously left a lasting impression in Osijek before he moved to Athens. Last summer, however, Osijek and the player decided to go their separate ways. After a canceled transfer to Puškaš Akademie, which would have brought the association three million euros, the club was forced to sell Kleinheisler for a lower amount of Panathinaikos. Now, however, there could be a second chance for him to prove himself again at a high level and possibly also to talk to the Hungarian national team after not taking into account in the last games, like Sportske.jutarnji.hr reported.

The return could be a turn in his career. Kleinheisler has had reason for motivation to play again in the Greek league in the Greek league. His impressive achievements from earlier times, especially from the spring of 2021 and autumn 2022, make him an interesting player that many fans would like to see again in the usual strength. And with Mihael Žaper at his side, an old companion from Osijek, he could find the necessary support to start in the new season.
