Andreas Ulmer: Change to the GAK - where does the trip go now?
Weinzödl, Österreich - Andreas Ulmer, the experienced left-back and bull legend, will not switch to GAK. Despite an interim training with the Bundesliga club, sports director Dieter Elsneg confirmed that the negotiations did not lead to an agreement. The 39-year-old has been there without a club since he said goodbye to Red Bull Salzburg and had great hopes to continue his career at the GAK. "There were very respectful conversations, Ulmer is a great person," says Elsneg, who nevertheless regretted the situation. The interest in the former master game was expressed from several sides, as has already been reported.
Ulmer, who has completed 420 Bundesliga games, 29 Champions League and 61 Europa League games in his impressive career, remains without a new club for the time being. His last contract with Red Bull Salzburg was not extended, and the return to the Bundesliga at the GAK could have been of great importance for the team, especially in view of their current table. The experience of the 14-time master would have made a valuable contribution to the stability of the team. It was speculated that Ulmer could start training this week, but this now seems unrealistic, like krone.at notes.

The search for a new club for Andreas Ulmer continues. Dee Verein has agreed not to take up any cooperation, which is a setback for the Bundesliga sun, especially since Ulmer's skills and experience on the square would have been of great benefit. While negotiations with the GAK are canceled, the question of where Ulmer will now take his next step will be made and whether a different opportunity may be available in the near future. So the question remains where this former top performer of Austrian football will find his next sporting home.
