Kika branch in Wiener Neustadt: New owner, what is coming now?

Wiener Neustadt, Österreich - The Kika branch in Wiener Neustadt has found a new owner after months of closure. The location has been closed since the bankruptcy of the furniture giant and was empty and dusty, the Kika logo continued to be clearly visible. Now the supernova group from Graz, which has already taken over numerous Kikaleiner locations, has also acquired the branch in Stadionstrasse. However, details about a possible purchase price or the future use of the location will not be published because the buyer has decided to take the public himself.

Since the bankruptcy of Kika/Leiner, numerous properties in Lower Austria have been offered for sale. There are currently four other former Kikaleiner locations in the region on the sales list. In particular, the negotiations in the cities of Krems and Vösendorf, where talks are underway, and in Langenrohr, district of Tulln, where the sales talks are also underway.

further developments in the region

In addition to the Kika locations, the former Kika headquarters in St. Pölten is empty. The office space will soon be rented out, while the plans for a new district in Wiener Neustadt are initially put on hold. There are currently no concrete purchase talks about the construction plans. Two Leiner areas in St. Pölten and Wiener Neustadt are also in a kind of queue, since Süba AG, the owner of this area, has been in bankruptcy since April.

  • Another project, the Rossmarkthöfe in St. Pölten, is also broke.
  • The city of Wiener Neustadt is also interested in the purchase of the Leiner area in Bahngasse.
  • However, the high costs of over 20 million euros are in the room, which led to discussions in the local council.

The discussions about the area purchase are currently stagnating, and Süba AG does not comment on ongoing topics. The Süba creditors have accepted the renovation plan, which arouses a certain hope of future investments. The International Investor Revetas has also started and could possibly set the course for a positive development.
