Tesla boss Musk: Court stops billion-dollar wages despite the appeal!
In a remarkable court ruling in the US state of Delaware, the billion-dollar remuneration was again questioned by Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Despite comprehensive support from the Tesla shareholders, the court remains steadfast and states that Musk has had an inappropriate influence in the agreement of his remuneration. According to OE24 , this assessment was confirmed by a judge on Monday after she had already found in January that he was in close relationship with members of the Board Voting in the dark.
The remuneration plan originally set to $ 2.6 billion was floated to over $ 56 billion by the enormous increase in the Tesla share price, and updated calculations show that it could now even achieve a value of over $ 100 billion. Musk and Tesla have already announced that it was appealing, although Musk also described that control over the company votes should be in the hands of the shareholders and not a judge. According to critics, the shareholders were not offered the necessary transparency to make sound decisions, as the judge emphasized in her reasoning, reported Der Spiegel .
In the following, the Tesla shares experienced a decline from more than two percent to around $ 349 in the after-board trading, even though they were still under $ 200 at the beginning of the year. However, the IPO of Tesla remained strong, with an overall rating of over $ 1.1 trillion, supported by the potential approval of robot taxis in connection with a possible future cooperation with the designated US President Donald Trump.
