Schotten celebrates his athletes: 95 honors for outstanding achievements!

Schotten, Deutschland - The athletes of the city of Schotten were honored in a festive framework for their outstanding achievements! The 35th honor, which took place in the festival hall, attracted numerous guests and was led by moderator Ewald Appel. He emphasized how important sport is for health and sense of community. "The success of our athletes are an excellent figurehead for the entire large community," emphasized Appel and referred to the tireless use of athletes, trainers and parents.

The honor was a real spectacle! Mayor Benjamin Göbl and first city councilor Hans-Jürgen Jochim not only presented the proud athletes with certificates, but also practical drinking bottles with a special locking system. A total of 95 athletes who either live in Schotten or belong to a club based here were awarded. The TGV Schotten, the largest club in the city with over 1,400 members, provided the most honored with its departments in skiing, running, cycling and table tennis. The table tennis department in particular experienced an upswing thanks to the commitment of youth keeper Armin Hudetz, which was also honored.

The event was not only an honor, but also a festival of top sporting performance. Michelle Luft, a cyclist of the TGV, shone at the German Championship in the Olympic Cross-Country race and took sixth place. The brothers Ferdinand and Leopold Beigrig were also honored for their success in road cycling. While Ferdinand Dreifer U23 Hessenmeister became, Leopold crowned his season with the title of triple Hessenmeister in the youth class.

The shooters were also strongly represented, with honors for the sports shooters from Rainrod and the Schotten shooting club. Florian Henrich from the reservist comradeship was awarded for his German championship title in the team classification. The event was rounded off by impressive dance performances by the TGV Schotten dance group "Neverland", which delighted the audience and provided a festive atmosphere. Schotten is a real “sports city” and celebrates the successes of their athletes with pride!
