Carnival start in Weiskirchen: The Jecken inspire new couples!

An exciting evening at the Gasthaus Schmitt in Thailen! The Carnival Association Grün-Weiß-Rot 1971 Weiskirchen celebrated the opening of the carnival session 2024 with a colorful festival. The guests, cheerfully costumed and full of enthusiasm, left the dark times of the pandemic behind and joined the celebrations with a loud "Simsalabim Alaaf". Chairman Alexander Louis and Elferrat President Volker Schuligen, better known as "Gussi", created an exuberant atmosphere, while the children's Elf Franconian Council President Susanna Clara Göbel covers the crowd with her energy.

The highlight of the evening was the ceremonial handover of the prince's dignity. The previous child prince couple, Felix I and Marie I, said goodbye to the new child prince couple Jakob I and Lena I ceremoniously escaped into the hall. The two shone in the cheer of the audience and confidently announced: "With crown, hat and sash, we really look like a real prince couple!" The enthusiasm was tangible and the crowd raged for joy.

But that was not all! The new prince couple Jannick I and Stefanie III. entered the stage and, with its fresh appearance, aroused great expectations for the upcoming carnival session. "We greet you with a triple Simsalabim Alaaf," Gussi and Susanna called, while the Prince's Guard marched in. The anticipation of an unforgettable carnival period was noticeable and the mood reached its peak.

In addition, there was a premiere: Annemie Maus delighted with her handmade speech as "Elfriede Smark", and the young soloists of the club presented a specially rehearsed medley. Honors for longstanding members were also celebrated, including Vanessa Selzer and Gerd Dobelmann in the club for twelve years. The celebrations lasted until the late hours, and the good mood of the guests was unbroken. An unforgettable evening that heralded the carnival in Weiskirchen!
