happy holidays at the VdK: In an atmosphere full of festive joy, the Christmas party of the Neuburg VdK local association recently took place. In the decorated hall of the sports hotel Düntl, almost 150 members celebrated together with the chairman Heidrun Weickum, who in their emotional Christmas speech told current political issues such as the wars in Ukraine and Gaza. In addition to the election campaign for the upcoming Bundestag election, she called for an improvement in the social framework, such as in terms of pensions, health and care.

A special highlight of the celebration was the honor of long -standing members: eleven of the 122 honored were eleven and were awarded for their loyalty. Among the honored were Wolfgang Ditt and Johann Gottschall, each honored for 30 years of membership. The event was musically framed by the Finkensteiner Alphornbläsers and enriched by Gabriele Kaps, who brought a greeting on behalf of the mayor. As the Danube courier reported, the Nikolaus was also to be used and announced the next round table for caregivers December 19th will take place.

The VDK local association Lindau also celebrated with many members. Around 90 of the almost 1,400 members were released at the Christmas party to spend a pleasant afternoon in the festively decorated surroundings of the Köchlin team. The present enjoyed coffee, tea and cake as well as small gifts filled with fruit, gingerbread and sweets. In an entertaining program that was enriched by a clown and the violin player Shamal, the participants showed their thanks for the beautiful celebration. As the Schwäbische Zeitung reported , donated the remaining Christmas bags to a home and the station mission.
